Vive La Difference!
Before and during your shoot, ask yourself this question:
What makes this place different from other places?
We live at the top of Vermont, just below the border with
Quebec. Visually, what distinguishes the two cultures?
Let's see...Quebec's landscape is flatter. The houses are
painted in brighter colors, built from different materials
and have a different pitch to the roof. The churches are
stone Catholic instead of wood Protestant. The signs are,
of course, in French, not English. The people smoke more,
dress better, wear more makeup and more fashionable hair
styles. The foods are different, too.
Plan on capturing these differences on film for a
successful, saleable travel shoot.
