The Little Stuff
When photographing in a foreign village or large city,
don't overlook the people.
Notre Dame is fine, but those rollicking French
schoolkids or grandpa's craggy face tell as much about
France as its best-known edifices.
Yet too many photographers ignore them, so focused are
they on those impressive, venerable landmarks and ornate
cathedrals.
By all means get the big fish. But, remember -- like
spice in a bouillabaisse, it's the little stuff that gives
the flavor.
