LITE TRAVEL

As a travel photographer, you're concerned about traveling light. This means that you don't want unnecessary weight in your camera bag.

99% of your travel photography needs will be filled by two 35mm camera bodies, two lenses, a tripod or monopod, and a flash.

Why do you need two camera bodies? Because one might fall into the Dead Sea, or break down as you reach the summit of Mt Everest. And catastrophes aside, two bodies give you the chance to shoot scenes in both black and white and color.

For most circumstances, you can get away with carrying just two zoom lenses - a 28mm to 85mm and a 70mm to 210mm. If you've got extra cash laying around, a 24mm fixed focal length lens is a good addition.
