How It Works….

Millions of photos are purchased daily. They are used for advertising, books, magazines, newspapers, posters, and personal use--both on the Internet and in print media.

Millions of dollars are spent daily to purchase and publish those pictures.

FACT: The photos can be divided into two categories: 1.) Generic pictures that can be found easily through “stock photo agencies;” 2.) specific-content pictures that need to match a specific use or text.

Photobuyers and researchers know that finding photos for this second category is a difficult and time-consuming task.

WHERE CAN I FIND IT ?

Internet search engines and a growing number of photo sites have turned this around. Photo editors and researchers now can type a three or four word description into Google etc. and find the “source” of these highly specific pictures.

This new method of finding stock photos saves editors a terrific amount of time (and money), and gives independent photographers access to thousands of active markets.

"I'm living proof that a housewife up here in Alberta, Canada can tap into the network of photobuyers and photographers on the Internet. Although I don't travel the world or do assignments, my photos are published in magazines, books, brochures and on the web. I love doing it. Thanks to the PhotoSourceBOOK directory, the photobuyers come to me rather than the other way around. It's been a good resource to get my name out there." - Chris Star, Alberta, Canada

PHOTOSOURCE BOOK 2008– THE PHOTOGRAPHER DIRECTORY THAT MAKES THE MATCH FOR PHOTOBUYERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS.

This is the 8th year of publication for PhotoSourceBOOK, which with its electronic partner, PhotoSourceBANK, is the most comprehensive resource for photobuyers searching for specific-content photos.

For photographers only: (P.S. – if you have a digital camera, you are a photographer)

1.) SIGN UP for the PhotoSourceBOOK 2008 directory and benefit from photobuyers coming TO YOU.
On September 19th, you can use this URL to sign up to reserve your place in the PhotoSourceBOOK: www.photosourcebook.com/firesale.php
The URL activates on September 19th.
The Fire Sale sign-up starts on September 19th 2007. Take advantage of the Fire Sale DISCOUNT for tremendous savings and bonuses. You’ll be surprised at the number of valuable bonuses we offer you. Plan to act fast - - the Fire Sale DISCOUNT lasts 1 WEEK ONLY! Then the price goes up and the bonuses are eliminated.

2.) Enter your initial 600 photo descriptive words for the printed directory, that goes out January 1st 2008 to 3,000 active top-paying editors. (See www.photosourcebook.com for help in entering your keywords.)

3.) During the Fall of 2007, enter your remaining quota of 3,000 descriptive words and phrases in the electronic PhotoSourceBANK, partner to the PhotoSourceBOOK. (A multiple-word phrase counts as one entry.) (Easy step-by-step help for entering your keywords at www.photosourcebook.com )

"So far I have made 10 sales and made several thousand dollars as a direct result of being listed in the PhotoSourceBOOK."
- Sam Pierson, Photographer, Houston, Texas

4.) At this moment, a photobuyer, editor, or researcher, is looking for a specific picture that is in your file, and is ready to pay $75, $150, $400 and more for that image. If you have entered your photo descriptive keywords (directions at www.photosourcebook.com), you are on your way to selling photos from your database that you never knew were worth $$$’s. (Pay special attention to #4, #5, and #6 of the step-by-step instructions.)

5.) If you have a specialized area of interest (aviation, education, travel, horticulture, children), an extra bonus of membership in the PhotoSourceBOOK is that you are positioned to develop a working relationship with specific photobuyers whose publishing theme is the same as your interest area. Now that’s a goldmine in itself!

"We are happy to inform you that we've sold to Unlimited Magazine and Sojourns Magazine as a direct result of being listed in your excellent resource, PhotoSourceBook."
- Greg Pease Photography, Baltimore, MD

DIGITAL CAMERA OWNERS: Because you can deliver a hi-res image to a photobuyer overnight, we encourage you to also list in your PhotoSourceBANK pages, pictures that you may not have already taken, but that you have access to. Examples: any nearby geographical landmarks, historical sites (well-known as well as obscure), art galleries, manufacturing sites, hospital(s), famous homes, churches, synagogues, mosques, entertainment centers, senior citizen facilities, reservoirs, beaches, watersports, resorts, lakes, zoos, agricultural specialties, medical research, night clubs, pet centers, light and power facilities, federal buildings, florists, garden centers, restaurants, house builders, country clubs, golf courses, casinos, bed & breakfasts, boat docks, sailing clubs, auto shops, craft stores, and so on. (You can list 3,000!)
Where to find more examples: check with your local Chamber of Commerce, use the Yellow Pages of your phone book, or a tourist post card stand.
Depending on the season, when you get a request from a photobuyer, you’ll be able to deliver the image within hours.
This is an excellent way to bond with photobuyers who may become lifelong clients.
